If you provide us with personal information about other persons (e.g. when you book a room for another person), you hereby ensure that you have the consent of such persons to the distribution of their data and allow us to provide such information in accordance with the terms of this statement use.

Non-personal data on the other hand, is information that cannot lead to the discovery of your identity. Examples are gender, which automobile brand you prefer, browser and device data, app usage data or which internet browser you use.

Does using the website of Hotel und Boarding House “Michele” reveal my identity?

We collect personal information when you make a reservation, visit our website and social media accounts, communicate with us verbally or in writing, when you visit our hotel or use services and facilities on-site and through public databases.

Failure to provide the relevant data would preclude the conclusion of a contract.

Disturbances, interruptions or failures can not be excluded.

For what purpose(s) is personal data ascertained, processed or utilized?

The data provided by you with your consent will be used for the settlement of the reservation and the guest’s stay, the verbal or written communication with us, the fulfillment of contractual obligations, the analysis and improvement of our marketing activities, the provision of services and facilities on site etc.

We may disclose personally identifiable information and other data to third party service providers for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. As third service providers are e.g. Companies that offer hosting of websites, data analysis, payment processing, order fulfillment, provision of IT services and related infrastructures, customer service, e-mail delivery, marketing, auditing and other services.

We also use and disclose personal information as we deem necessary or appropriate, or for the purposes of national security or law enforcement purposes, to comply with applicable law, to comply with legal procedures, upon request from public or government agencies, to safeguard and enforce our terms and conditions, to protect our business, to protect the rights, privacy, security or property of the Hotel-Pension Michele, your person or other persons and to assert (e.g. civil) claims, see Art. 23 GDPR.

Is personal data used for advertising or market research purposes?

Not without your express permission. There are situations where it is in the best interest of the client relationship to utilize certain personal data for advertising, market research and other purposes. However, we do in such cases inform you in advance of such intentions and only if we have obtained your express permission.

Are cookies (small text files) used on the website of Hotel und Boarding House “Michele” in the centre of Berlin?

Usually we delete your personal data as soon as the purpose for which such data was originally collected has been completed, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

In addition, it should be noted that there are sometimes circumstances in which legally required storage durations and accounting regulations make the deletion of personal data impossible (for example for accounting purposes) or the storage is advisable in view of the legal situation (for example with respect to limitation periods). You do however have a right to seal your personal data in such cases.
